For more than a decade MXTV has been broadcasting the Truth. MXTV (“Mission X Television”) is an evangelistic, music oriented, mission-minded ministry to young adults. In the beginning years of Mission X, the ‘X’ stood for our mission to reach Generation X. The expansion of our mission has since grown to also reach generation Y and today’s Internet generation. The purpose of MXTV is to re-present God’s Word in a language understood by today’s youth culture.

Tim Bisagno founded Mission X, a 501(c)(3) non-profit ministry, in December 1994 with the main objective to reach the youth of the world for Jesus Christ. The method Tim used at that time was an evangelical Christian rock band called the Friendlys. He led the band into 20 countries in 5 years as ‘musicianarys’ doing nightclub evangelism. Later while ministering at a prison in Texas, a fellow minister invited Tim and his band to perform on a local Houston Christian television station. During the show, Tim shared the gospel as he had done so many times before in the rough and dark places across the globe. The call-in response was so overwhelming the owner invited Tim to host his own program to reach the youth of Houston. After returning from a 3-month mission tour in Eastern Europe, Tim phased out the band and began hosting and producing a weekly 30-minute TV show; MXTV. And Mission X Television was born.

MXTV is the epitome of the mustard seed parable. The ministry of MXTV started with Tim and his wife Edye as the only full-time staff, assisted by a few volunteers. Ten years later, to God’s glory and in His grace MXTV continues to create quality, soul-stirring shows. We are now covering the entire footprint of the world, reaching over 200 countries. Noting the global moral decline of what is now presented on television and the Internet, we believe the timing of MXTV is God ordained to make a dramatic impact on today’s youth culture and society as a whole.

Tim’s spiritual journey has deepened over the past four years as God used him to serve as lead pastor at Ecclesia Franklin in Franklin, TN. Simultaneously carrying the ministry of MXTV and being a full time pastor was a challenge that God used to refine Tim with a greater sense of teaching, evangelism and leadership. God also enriched Tim’s sense of calling by strategically moving Tim and MXTV from Houston to Nashville, thus positioning them in the center of the Christian music capital of the world.
