MXTV Opportunities

“From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.” Luke 12:48.

God has definitely “given much” to MXTV. Being keenly aware that God has done His part, we are driven to do ours. Leading MXTV, Tim is committed to one goal: impacting the lost and leading them to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. To continue to reach this goal, we must implement the objectives listed below.

OBJECTIVE 1:

BY END OF SUMMER 2007, INCREASE PRODUCTION TO TWO NEW MXTV EPISODES PERMONTH AND PRODUCE FOUR NEW INTERNET WEBISODES PER MONTH.

With an increase in projected production needs will come in different forms take a look below to see where you could be apart of the MXTV production.

SUPPORT STAFF
Tim Bisagno will continue to be responsible for writing, hosting, fundraising, and overseeing the ministry. However, due to his increased production-related travel and speaking, MXTV must develop a local support staff to help produce the show.

The following support staff are listed in order of importance.
Distribution Manager:
This person will be responsible for managing all tasks related to taking the unedited video from a shoot to a finished product. This will include assigning it to the editors, close captioning, duplication, and distribution of each episode to each network. This person will also handle any relational matters with the networks.

Dedicated Editors:
MXTV will secure the services of two part-time editors. Each editor will work on one show each month resulting in our broadcasters receiving two new episodes per month. Each show takes approximately 30-40 hours of raw footage editing.

Production Manager:
This person will oversee all responsibilities involved with creating each episode. They will arrange locations and oversee production staff and volunteers, finalize details for the shoot, manage and maintain scheduling, and facilitate studio production.

Business Manager:
This person will be responsible for the day to day business management of the ministry with areas such as billing, accounts payable, and accounting. They will also be responsible for overseeing all staff.

Production/Promotion Coordinator
This person will help fill the gaps between producing each show and promoting MXTV to our target audience from a grassroots level. This position will become two positions in the future.

Videographers:
MXTV has developed relationships with a number of professional photographers that serve the ministry by donating their talents.

Production Assistants:
MXTV has trained young people to work in these roles and given them real world experience through their service. Their duties include location set-up, lighting, grips and audio work.

We are seeking staff to fill these positions that are committed to the vision of MXTV and are willing to raise their own support. We will assist potential staff members unfamiliar with this process in raising their financial support.

OBJECTIVE 2:

BY EARLY 2008 UPDATE AND INCREASE THE ACCESS TO MXTV
As MXTV has grown, we have found the best way to reach our target is not only through the television, but also through the strategic use of the Internet. Therefore, MXTV needs to:

  1. Create a new more interactive web site (missionx.tv) .
  2. Develop consistent revenue streams to support ongoing ministry functions.
Four strategies to develop these streams are:
    • Increase speaking opportunities for Tim to speak to students and young adults at conferences, concerts, and churches.
    • Launch a line of discipleship resources, based from the teaching content of the show that will support student pastors and small group leaders.
    • Work to get MXTV on networks where it is not currently available, like FoxFaith and others.
    • Write and publish two books.
      • Subject: Faith
Title: “Faith And Other Things I Learned From My Dad”.
      • Subject: Holiness
        Title: “The Symphony of Sanctification”.

OBJECTIVE 3:

BETTER MEASURE THE IMPACT OF MXTV
As we seek to be better stewards of each area of the ministry, we also want to better report the impact of MXTV.
To do this we will:

  • Work with existing ministries who help support the young people we reach with the Gospel. We currently use 1-800-NEED-HIM. We will also use the services of ministries like www.teenhopeline.com, an interactive community that counsels young people through life’s challenges. We will also partner with ministries likeDawson McAllister’s HopeLine, a live phone line with trained advisors that is open after school and until midnight seven days a week.
  • Better measure the impact of MXTV and improve follow-up capabilities. Though we are grateful to have worked with 1-800-NEED-HIM for the past seven years, it has not been possible for 1-800-NEED-HIM to track the actual number of salvations we currently receive. We need to acquire this information to better serve new believers looking to MXTV for their next steps.
  • Bring on at least 2 Virtual Pastors to follow up with the discipleship needs of new believers that have responded to our invitation to follow Christ. This will include connecting them to a local church, sending them a Bible and supporting materials , as well as answering their basic spiritual questions. This person will also help to increase viewership and web use through social networking (myspace, face book, youtube, etc.), e-blasts (viral marketing), online give-aways (provided at no cost from record companies and publishers), and relationship building with other partnering ministries.
  • Receive monthly reports from partnering ministries detailing the issues they are dealing with to help us better tailor shows to the needs of our audience.
